Malcolm MacEwen, President, Chief Operating Officer - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

A California native with longtime ties to Arizona, Malcolm began his real estate career in Woodland Hills, CA. His 30-plus-year career is witness to the personal commitment necessary to succeed in the challenging world of Southern California real estate. Before coming to Arizona, he oversaw all operations of the eight-office, nearly 500-agent Desert Region of the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County LOC. In a previous position as manager of the 150-agent Beverly Hills East Office, his leadership inspired record-breaking property listings and sales production.

He is past president of the 4,000-member Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS®, which recognized him as REALTOR® of the Year 2002. For 11 years, he was a director of the 160,000-member California Association of REALTORS®, where he served as a key legislative liaison. Malcolm is a licensed real estate broker in California and holds the coveted Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation along with that of the Graduate REALTORS® Institute (GRI).


Martha Appel, Vice President, Designated Broker - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Martha has been with the company since 1997. Prior to becoming Designated Broker, she was head of our Legal Department as Vice President of Corporate Brokerage Support and Legal Liaison. Martha was with Prudential Arizona Realty, which was acquired by Coldwell Banker Success Realty in 1997. She obtained her Arizona Real Estate Salesperson’s license in 1979 and obtained her Arizona Real Estate Broker’s license in 1998.

Martha is very involved in the real estate industry, serving as the 2006 vice chairman of the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) Industry Issues Key Result Area Committee, and chairman in 2007, as well as the AAR Professional Standards Grievance Committee from 2003 through 2005, where she served as chairman in 2005. She has also served on various committees for the Arizona Department of Real Estate.


Laura Kelly Mance, Senior Vice President/Regional Manager

A licensed REALTOR® in the State of Arizona since 1982, Laura Mance is responsible for more than 480 real estate professionals and seven branch offices. Part of Coldwell Banker's leadership since 1990, Laura oversees the company's primary departments in addition to the brokerage operations. She served as the 2003 President of the Tucson Association of REALTORS® after having served two terms as an officer and as a director. She earned the designation as Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB) in 1998.

Laura is active in the Arizona Association of REALTORS® as well, chairing the Purchase Contract Revision Steering group and serving multiple terms as director. Laura is approved by the Arizona Department of Real Estate as an instructor in Contract Law, Disclosure, and Advanced Negotiating Strategies, and also is a contract law instructor for the Hogan School of Real Estate.


Gale George, Commercial Team Manager

Gale graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio with a BSBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Analysis. He has been a licensed real estate broker since 1976. Gale has 20+ years of commercial real estate experience, both in sales and management. He has resided in Tucson, AZ. since 1982 and is actively involved in all areas of commercial real estate. Gale joins the Coldwell Banker Success Southwest team because of the tremendous opportunities afforded by the local and national Coldwell Banker Success Southwest Network. He looks forward to assisting Coldwell Banker Success Southwest with its continued growth in the Tucson commercial real estate market.
