April is Fair Housing Month
NRT is proud to join the nation and our industry in celebrating April as National Fair Housing Month. Fair Housing means equal and professional real estate service to everyone. Fair Housing is good for our families, good for our communities, good for the real estate industry and good for business.
Through our partnership with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, we have developed and implemented enhanced Fair Housing training programs for more than 42,000 sales associates across the country.
Together, we’re working toward Fair Housing for all.
Our Fair Housing Pledge
Our company representatives are committed to following our fair housing pledge, which includes:
- Providing equal professional service without regard to the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin or other protected status of any prospective client, customer, or resident of any community.
- Keeping informed about fair housing laws and practices, and improving our clients' and customers' opportunities.
- Informing our clients and customers about their rights and responsibilities under the fair housing laws.
- Refusing to tolerate non-compliance.
- Celebrating the differences among our clients, customers and residents of our communities.
- Taking a positive approach to fair housing practices and aspiring to follow the letter and spirit of the law.
- Continuing to develop and implement fair housing practices for our business.
